Evolve to Paris charity challenge
Aaron Myers and Ben Bywater of Rotos 360 are embarking on a gruelling charity challenge, the Evolve to Paris Challenge.
The aim is to raise as much money, and awareness, for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity and they will hold a present collection for children spending Christmas day in hospital.
Having spent the last five Christmas days away from his wife and two children, Aaron Myers was inspired to set up the “Triple R Challenge”. After feeling sorry for himself on numerous Christmas days away from his family, Aaron has a new perspective and understands that in life there are always less fortunate people out there, and Christmas can be a time when people need support more than ever.
- Conducted in pairs, the teams ‘virtually’ complete the distance from Evolve in Hartlepool to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris within a 46 hour period.
- Each team will use a turbo trainer, a Concept 2 rowing machine and have access to a step up box, the run will take place on a loop around the area local to the gym.
- The challenge is taking place on 2nd - 4th December 2021 at the Evolve gym in Hartlepool: Evolve, Unit 17 & 18, Burn Road, Hartlepool, TS251P
The team said:
“We have a belief that those who have the ability to help, should. Although at times we may all feel down and consider our own circumstances to be bad. However there are always people out there in a worse situation to ourselves.
Children are vulnerable members of our society and need all the help and support they can get. Christmas time for children is especially important and spending Christmas in a hospital ward is incredibly difficult for them. Through our challenge we aim to raise as much funding and awareness as possible for the Great Ormond Street Hospital along with running a present donation drop throughout December to collect presents for those children spending Christmas in hospital care within the North East of England.”
We are immensely proud of them and we’re on the countdown to the challenge date.
